COMMUNICATIONS LEAD | Fulltime 32 - 40 hours per week

HiiL, a social enterprise that works to enhance access to justice through innovation, is looking for a Communications Lead.

As our Communications Lead you oversee the strategic positioning, coordination and direction of all communication, marketing and campaign activities that support HiiL in achieving its BHAG. You will be the senior in a passionate team consisting of a Branding & Design Specialist, Content Specialist and Digital Communications Officer. In this role, you report directly to the Director Shared Services.

In this position:

  • You are responsible to develop, convey and implement the HiiL wide communications strategy;
  • You will establish and drive a multi-channel communications strategy leading internal and external communications activities that promotes HiiL’s  work through relevant media channels, conferences, and forums;
  • You will contribute and ensure the performance management of the communications department on high-quality output;
  • You are the advisor for the several product group heads and the senior management on communication needs and decisions in order to increase HiiL’s effectiveness on communications and their market positioning;
  • You will ensure in cooperation with our Business Development department that (media) relations and contacts with influencers are managed and developed.

Our new colleague:

  • Has 10+ years of relevant work experience in a similar position, preferably in an international, non-profit environment.
  • Has advanced knowledge of marketing communications programmes and tools.
  • Has experience in developing and implementing internal and external communication strategies.
  • Has strong leadership, team building and project management skills.
  • Has result-oriented, strategic/analytical focus, is socially strong and stress-resistant.
  • Has full professional proficiency in English; verbally and written. Knowledge of Dutch and French are an extra asset.
  • Has experience in and/or strong interest in working in an international environment.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, is proactive and hands-on.
  • Has a creative mindset and is able to reach multiple stakeholder groups by choosing the best tone of voice, channel and tool.
  • Is able to work under pressure.
