Financial Controller

HiiL, a social enterprise that works to enhance access to justice through innovation, is looking for a Financial Controller. Your team, consisting of the Finance Officer and the Finance & Control Manager, is responsible for everything that has to do with finance within HiiL. Your tasks are varied and diverse. You’ll prepare budgets for our oversea projects, advise and assist in the preparation of donor reports, improve our financial processes and assist with the annual closure process. It's a function with lots of growing potential and ideal for a Finance professional ready to climb to a higher professional level.

You’ll report to the Finance & Control Manager and will be a source of information for the project managers and Program Directors. This is a dynamic role!

In this position:

You work on project control and donor reporting
You prepare financial statements and reports
You oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciling accounts
You assist in the preparation of opening offices overseas
You contribute to transparent and healthy (financial) processes
You are hands on, accurate and have a positive attitude
You work precisely, have numeracy skills, like accounting and will have a lot of contact with your our colleagues

Our new colleague:

Has 5/7 years of relevant work experience in a similar position
Has Bachelor / Masters degree in Accounting or Finance
Has advanced knowledge of AFAS or comparable admin software
Has preferably experience with project organizations and Google environment
Has result-oriented, analytical focus, is socially strong and adaptable.
Has full professional proficiency in English; verbally and written. Knowledge of Dutch is highly valued, French an extra asset.
Has experience in and/or strong interest in working in an international environment.
Is able to work under time pressure

What else:

Starting date: by mutual agreement
We offer a position for an initial period of 12 months with the aim of building a long-term work relationship
Holding EU-citizenship or NL working permit.
A monthly salary for a full-time working week between €4.000,- / € 5.600,- based on relevant experience and seniority.
More than 8 weeks of holiday when working fulltime.
