HR Advisor | 32 - 40 hours per week

HiiL, a social enterprise that works to enhance access to justice through innovation, is recruiting an hands-on HR Advisor to help scale-up our organisation and increase our mission’s impact.

The offered position is a pleasant mix between advising our managers on various HR related topics, developing our policies according to best practices and seeing to our vital HR contracting and operations work. It requires your broad knowledge of HR, your well-argumented ideas and your relevant work experience, preferably gained in a diverse and international orientated environment. 

You will be part of a collaborative team of 3 HR professionals and report directly to the HR manager.

What are you going to do?

  • You advise Management on the full range of HR subjects, which include:  team development and performance evaluation of staff, absenteeism management, learning and organisational development, employee exits, etc.
  • You build and foster positive relationships with staff and management and ensure that  feedback mechanisms, employee engagements and initiatives are in place and are responded to.
  • You co-develop policies and implement the HR Strategy, processes and best practices.
  • You support the HR department on accurate absence registration, contracting, HR Administration, preparing payroll and the coordination of learning & training. 
  • Together with the HR team, you ensure optimization of the HR (IT) processes and contribute to harmonisation of our job and pay classifications system. 

Our new colleague:

  • Has a bachelor degree, preferably in Human Resources Management, (Applied) Psychology or Business Administration.
  • Has at least 4 solid years of work experience in an all-round HR position.
  • Is IT tech-savvy and preferably experienced in working with HR software, like AFAS InSite or similar. We operate in a Google Cloud.
  • Has up-to-date knowledge of Dutch labour laws and regulations.
  • Has full professional proficiency in English and Dutch; verbally and written. Knowledge of French is a big plus.
  • Is proactive, detailed-oriented & collaborative.
  • Has a positive mind-set, a can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.

What else:

  • Starting date: 1 of April 2023 (or earlier).
  • We offer a position for an initial period of 12 months with the aim of building a long-term work relationship.
  • Holding EU-citizenship or NL working permit.
  • A monthly salary for a full-time (40h) working week between € 3.500,- / € 4.600,- based on seniority and the years of relevant experience.
