HR Officer | The Hague | 32/40 hours per week

HiiL, a social enterprise that works to enhance access to justice through innovation, is recruiting a driven and international orientated HR Officer based in The Hague.

As our IT tech savvy HR Officer, we are offering you a varied and challenging work package. From managing the monthly payroll to re-organizing the HR administration to guide new hires during their onboarding and assist the recruitment process. All in a day’s work.

What are you going to do?

  • You process HR and salary-related changes of the employee life cycle in the HRIS AFAS Insite and the monthly payroll.
  • You support with longlisting applicants, scheduling interviews for recruitment, drafting contracts, arranging 30% ruling/visa/work permits, preparing management for the Performance Review & Appraisal cycle and cover at times the sick leave registrations in case the HR advisor is absent.
  • You answer questions from our employees regarding our HR policies and the employee handbook.
  • You contribute to the continuous optimization of workflows and processes.
  • You are an important focal point for staff and management in regard to payroll, contracts and onboarding of new hires.
  • You maintain contact with external parties such as the external payroll office, UWV and pension provider. 
  • Next to your role you can participate in HR projects most appealing to you.

Our new colleague:

  • Has a MBO / bachelor degree in relevant fields (e.g. Human Resources / Business administration/economics, Social Sciences).
  • Has at least 3 solid years of work experience with independent executing of HR administration. 
  • Is IT tech-savvy and has experience in working with HRIS systems, preferably AFAS (InSite & Profit).
  • Together with your HR colleagues, you ensure optimization and harmonization of HR processes.
  • Has good knowledge of Dutch relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Has full professional proficiency in English and good knowledge of Dutch; verbally and written. 
  • Is very dependable, analytical and has a can-do attitude.
  • Is able to work under time pressure.

What else:

  • Starting date: to be mutually agreed
  • We offer a position for an initial period of 12 months with the aim of building a long-term work relationship.
  • Holding EU-citizenship or NL working permit.
  • A monthly salary for a full-time working week [40h] between € 3.200,- / € 3.900,- based on years of relevant experience.
